Vintage Tea Cup Pair

A beautiful pair of vintage Arita ware yunomi, made in Japan.

Crafted from white porcelain with a delicate crackle glaze (kannyū), each cup is finished with a soft wash of colour; one in muted orange and the other in purple. The gently fluted form opens into an organic, scalloped rim. 

Designed as a complementary pair, traditionally used for serving Japanese tea.

Signed on the base and presented in their original box.

Condition

Vintage condition with some signs of age and long-term storage. There is some discolouration/marking to the unglazed bases of the cups. The original box shows visible wear, marks and discolouration from storage.
